Dual Voltra Plate Installation Instructions
For the Rogue T-Bar Row Deep Drop Mount (Offset Drop Mount) — one or two VOLTRA units
Thank you for choosing Voltra Mounts. These instructions provide a clear, professional procedure for installing the Dual Voltra Plate on the Rogue T-Bar Row Deep Drop Mount (sold as the Rogue T-Bar Row Offset Drop Mount). Following these steps ensures proper fit, secure fastening, and long-term reliability whether you run one or two VOLTRA units.
The Dual Voltra Plate is a precision, USA-made bolt-on adapter plate. It installs in place of the DIY Dock on the Deep Drop Mount and provides two DIY Dock positions so you can mount one VOLTRA unit or two VOLTRA units side by side. When two units are installed, maximum resistance equals the combined total of both VOLTRA units.
- One 12 mm hole in that base plate → V1 mount
- Two 12 mm holes in that base plate → V2 mount
V1 Rogue mounts only had one hole in the base plate under the DIY Dock. That single check is enough — you do not need order tags or kit guesses to decide V1 vs V2.
V1 mount (1× 12 mm hole)
Plate attaches with one M12 button-head screw plus eight M4 screws.
- 1× M12 button-head through the single 12 mm hole
- 8× M4 fasteners to complete the V1 plate attach
V2 mount (2× 12 mm holes)
Plate attaches with two M12 bolts — one through each 12 mm hole.
- 2× M12 bolt sets (plate to Deep Drop Mount)
- No V1-style eight-M4 plate-attach pattern

Step-by-Step Installation Procedure
Step 1 — Identify V1 or V2 on the Mount, Then Lay Out Hardware
Look at the underside of the Rogue Deep Drop Mount under the DIY Dock area:
- One 12 mm hole → V1 (use 1× M12 button-head + 8× M4)
- Two 12 mm holes → V2 (use 2× M12 bolts)
Then lay out the Dual Voltra Plate, the matching Voltra Mounts hardware, and the DIY Dock(s) you will install. Keep fastener groups separated so M12 and M4 sets are not mixed.
Step 2 — Remove the Existing DIY Dock
If a DIY Dock is already installed on the Deep Drop Mount, remove it completely:
- Support the DIY Dock so it cannot drop when the last fastener is removed.
- Remove the fasteners that secure the DIY Dock to the mount.
- Set the DIY Dock and any retained hardware aside. If you will reuse DIY Dock screws on the dock itself, torque those later to Beyond Power’s recommended 2.0–2.5 Nm (17.7–22.1 in-lb) — not the Dual Voltra Plate kit values.
Note: The Dual Voltra Plate installs in place of that DIY Dock on the Deep Drop Mount.
Step 3 — Clean Mating Surfaces
Wipe the Deep Drop Mount’s DIY Dock mounting face and both faces of the Dual Voltra Plate with a clean cloth. Remove chips, grit, or packaging residue so the plate seats flat.
Step 4 — Position the Dual Voltra Plate
Place the Dual Voltra Plate onto the Deep Drop Mount so the plate’s mount hole(s) align with the mount’s attachment hole(s). The two DIY Dock positions (lobes) should sit clear and level for dock installation.
Alignment check: Confirm the plate sits flat against the mount with no rock or gap before installing fasteners.
⚠️ STOP if there is wobble or movement: These surfaces should be flat and fully mating. Do not install fasteners yet. Investigate why the plate is not seating flat (debris, orientation, wrong V1/V2 path, bent/damaged parts) and resolve the issue before proceeding. Never complete the install if the Dual Voltra Plate and Deep Drop Mount are not mating flat.
Step 5A — V1 (one 12 mm hole): Install One M12 Button-Head + Eight M4
Use this path only if the mount’s underside shows one 12 mm hole. Using the V1 Voltra Mounts kit:
- Install the single M12 button-head with washer(s) and fiber locking nut as supplied through the Dual Voltra Plate and Deep Drop Mount. Hand-tighten only.
- Install all eight M4-0.7 × 35 mm assemblies used to attach the plate. Hand-start every fastener before snugging any one fully.
- Hand-snug only until the plate is held firmly and alignment is maintained. Do not final-torque yet.
Step 5B — V2 (two 12 mm holes): Install Two M12 Bolts
Use this path only if the mount’s underside shows two 12 mm holes. Using the V2 Voltra Mounts kit (two complete M12 sets):
- Install both M12 bolts with washer(s) and fiber locking nuts as supplied through the Dual Voltra Plate and Deep Drop Mount.
- Hand-tighten only until the plate is held firmly against the mount. Do not final-torque yet.
Step 6 — Verify Plate Alignment, Then Torque Plate-to-Mount Fasteners
With fasteners still only snug, re-check that the Dual Voltra Plate is centered, flush, and square to the mount with no binding.
⚠️ Flat mating required: If you feel rock, wobble, or a gap at this stage, STOP. Do not final-torque. Find and fix the cause before continuing. Never finish the install unless the plate and mount are mating flat.
Then tighten to final specification:
| Version | Fasteners | Final Torque |
|---|---|---|
| V1 | 1× M12 button-head + 8× M4 plate-attach fasteners | M12 → 60 in-lb (6.8 Nm) · M4 → 32 in-lb (3.6 Nm) (even pattern on the eight M4s) |
| V2 | 2× M12 bolts | Each M12 → 60 in-lb (6.8 Nm) |
Step 7 — Install One or Two DIY Docks on the Dual Voltra Plate
Choose your configuration:
- One VOLTRA unit: Install one DIY Dock on either dock position.
- Two VOLTRA units: Install two DIY Docks — one on each dock position.
For each DIY Dock:
- Align the DIY Dock with the Dual Voltra Plate hole pattern so all fastener holes line up cleanly.
- Install the dock using the hardware method that matches your kit / dock. Hand-start all fasteners before tightening any one fully.
- Hand-snug only until the dock is lightly clamped and alignment is maintained.
Step 8 — Align DIY Dock(s), Then Apply Final Dock Torque
With dock fasteners still loose enough to allow small adjustments, confirm each DIY Dock is flush, centered on its lobe, and free of gaps or binding.
If you are seating or re-securing the DIY Dock’s own screws, torque those to Beyond Power’s recommended 2.0–2.5 Nm (17.7–22.1 in-lb). Source: Beyond Power DIY Dock installation guidance (also stated in their DIY Dock Installation Reminder).
If your Voltra Mounts kit still uses M4 assemblies for dock-to-plate clamping after the plate is mounted, tighten those Dual Voltra Plate kit M4 fasteners in an even criss-cross pattern to 32 in-lb (3.6 Nm) (do not exceed).
Step 9 — Seat VOLTRA Unit(s)
Install one VOLTRA unit onto each prepared DIY Dock using the dock’s normal seating / retention method. For a single-unit setup, leave the unused dock position empty (or omit the second dock entirely).
Step 10 — Final Inspection
- You matched the path to the mount: one 12 mm underside hole → V1, or two → V2.
- All plate-to-mount M12 fasteners are at 60 in-lb (6.8 Nm) and have not backed off.
- V1 plate-attach M4s (if used) are at 32 in-lb (3.6 Nm) with fiber locking nuts fully engaged.
- Any DIY Dock screws you tightened are within Beyond Power’s 2.0–2.5 Nm (17.7–22.1 in-lb).
- DIY Dock(s) are flush, centered, and secure on the plate.
- VOLTRA unit(s) are properly seated on the DIY Dock(s).
- Doubler plates are not installed on the Dual Voltra Plate.
- If a button-head lightly contacts the floor at rest, confirm this matches the known Deep Drop chafe-pad fitment note and does not interfere with movement under load.
Maintenance Recommendations
- Re-check torque on M12 plate-to-mount fasteners (60 in-lb / 6.8 Nm), Dual Voltra Plate kit M4 fasteners (32 in-lb / 3.6 Nm), and DIY Dock screws (2.0–2.5 Nm / 17.7–22.1 in-lb, Beyond Power) after the first few training sessions, then about every 90 days (or sooner under heavy dynamic loads or dual-unit use).
- Keep plate and DIY Dock mating surfaces clean. Wipe away chalk, sweat, and grit that can affect seating.
- About every 90 days, inspect the Dual Voltra Plate, Deep Drop Mount, and DIY Dock(s) for wear, coating damage at contact points, or fastener loosening.
- Doubler plates remain not approved on the Dual Voltra Plate.
